Y=X+1 is the equation for a straight line graph where does it cross the y-axis

Answer :

y=x+1 crosses the y-axis at (0,1).  To solve this, I found out the y-intercept which is 1.  I know that the y-intercept is 1 because in the equation y=mx+b, the 'b' is the y-intercept.  The y-intercept is always on the y-axis and so this is where this equation crosses the y-axis.
