The idea of significant events changing an individual’s perspective is true. This can be seen with how Eliezer starts off in the novel wanting to learn more about God. Later on in the novel, readers see how Eliezer struggles with his faith and believing in God. The horrors of the holocaust and what Elie went thru in the concentration camps are examples of how events can change an individual’s perspectives.
