Odysseus stabs Prometheus in the eye causing him to be in pain and asking the other cyclops for help. To ask for help, he opens the door. Since he can't see, he has to feel around. Odysseus and the other men are on the bottoms of the Rams so Prometheus doesn't know they are there.
