What are the coordinates of vertex J of the pre-image?(14 POINTS. PLS HELP, GEOMETRY)

Quadrilateral JKLM was dilated according to the rule
DO,1/2 (x,y)( 1/2x1/2y) to create the image quadrilateral J'K'L'M', which is shown on the graph.

A. (0, -4)

B. (0, -1)

C. (0, 0)

D. (0, 4)

If we look at where it is now, we would have multiplied the x and y values by 1/2. since we are working backwards, lets multiply by 2 instead...giving us the vertex for the pre-image....

J is now (0, -2)      multiply by 2
J was     (0, -4)

If quadrilateral JKLM was dilated with scale factor 1/2 and center of dilation at origin to form quadrilateral J'K'L'M', then when you dilate quadrilateral J'K'L'M' with scale factor 2 and center of dilation at origin, you obtain quadrilateral JKLM.

The coordinates of quadrilateral J'K'L'M' are:

J'(0,-2), K'(3,2), L'(6,-2) and M'(3,-6).

Then the coordinates of quadrilateral JKLM are:

J(0,-4), K(6,4), L(12,-4) and M(6,-12).

Answer: correct choice is A: J(0,-4).
